The International Travel form (ITF) should be completed by faculty, staff and students traveling on official Georgia State University business.


Students traveling on credit-bearing study abroad programs need to register travel plans with the Study Abroad Programs Office


The ITF captures travel details and contact information that will be used to initiate emergency protocols in the event of an emergency abroad. It is also useful in sharing information such as U.S. State Department travel alerts and warnings; airport closures or incidents; and other developments that could impact travel both prior to departure and while in travel status.

FINANCIAL APPROVALS AND AVOIDING SUBMISSION ERRORS – PLEASE READ!!

We are aware of the challenges with the current form and are in the process of making a two-step change that will eliminate these challenges. All changes should be in place by October 2013.
NOTE:
User 1: Financial Approval before Ticket and Hotel Purchase/Details Travelers who are not able to establish travel details without financial approval: please have your business managers complete financial approvals and send your name and proposed travel dates to kehigiator@gsu.edu. We will attempt to send reminders for the completion of this form.

Travelers who have all their travel details: Please complete this form and ensure to mark the return date, and complete all mandatory fields marked with a “*”.

To avoid submission errors: 

  • Avoid the use of single quotes (‘) or double quotes (“) e.g. Dana’s Bread and Breakfast.
  • Enter “Not Applicable” in fields/text boxes where there is an asterisk that is not applicable to you. For example, enter Not Applicable in the “Accommodation” text box for the return leg of your trip.
  • Ensure to mark the return leg of your trip. This is a two-step process:
    • Select “ Click here to add travel leg 2, (3, 4 or 5) of your Return trip details”.
    • Selecting the link titled Click here to mark this as your final leg at the end of the box that opens when you click the travel legs.
